Cuffel Electric is Now Serving the Residents of West Bend WI With Their Electrical Needs

In southeastern Wisconsin, West Bend is the county head of Washington County. The population was 31,752 at the 2020 census. It is located 30 minutes north from Milwaukee and is located along the Milwaukee River, in the heart of Kettle Moraine.

Two communities were formed in 1840 by the first White settlers. This is how the city’s current was originated. The first was West Bend. The second was the now-defunct Village at Barton.

The Wisconsin Territorial Legislature approved the construction of a road connecting Fond du Lac and Milwaukee in 1845. A new settlement was built near the halfway point to offer provisions and overnight accommodation for travelers.

On January 20, 1846, the Wisconsin Territorial legislature established the Town of West Bend. The original town encompassed land now part of the West Bend, Farmington, Kewaskum and Trenton.

Washington County was formed in 1840s and 1850s from land located along Lake Michigan. It is now Ozaukee County. Port Washington was the county seat. This decision was controversial at the time. Grafton, Cedarburg, West Bend and West Bend all vied for the position of Washington County Seat and the material benefits it would bring.

The city is now home to more than 32,000 residents. They have access to a variety of cultural and historic attractions, 1,200 acres worth of award-winning parks, excellent healthcare and outstanding educational opportunities.

It boasts a charming downtown, with many thriving shops and restaurants. There are also several industrial and business parks that are poised to grow as this is one of the fastest growing towns in Wisconsin.
